Michael J. H. Rich serves as Executive Assistant at United Way of New York State, where he provides high-level administrative and operational support to executive leadership. In this role, he coordinates stakeholder communications, manages scheduling and organizational initiatives, and helps advance the organization’s advocacy and mission-driven work across New York State.
Before joining United Way of New York State, Michael was the owner and master stylist of 350 East Salon and Spa in Albany, which he successfully operated for eight years. As a business owner, he built and led a talented team, developed strong client relationships, and managed all aspects of business operations, marketing, and customer service. His background combines entrepreneurship, leadership, and a strong commitment to creating positive client and community experiences.
Michael began his career in the beauty and wellness industry after earning his Cosmetology Certificate from Paul Mitchell The School in Schenectady. He brings a detail-oriented, people-focused approach to his work and is passionate about supporting effective organizational operations and community impact.
